Project ongoing
Having tried videoconferencing last week by skype with the involved teachers there will be videoconferences with pupils in the near future too.
In Wolgast there will be mainly two classes, 11 und 12 Fachgymnasium, involved in the project and conferencing too.
But videoconferencing is only a starter, the main theme is video museums. So we have to work on this subject much more. There we need really the ideas. As I know there are already girls who did a video last months about there local surroundings and traditions, we look forward seeing it ... .
We are planning a workshop with the Wolgast Jugendhaus about video production beginning with class 12, so we have some video results till spring. Jugendhaus is for example interested in economic personalities in Wolgast history and also about music clips.
We have also bought some video technic for pupils use, two camcorders ... some software, adobe premiere.
Another important date will be a meeting in Wolgast in January with involved teachers to organise further steps.
The group travel to Praha in spring with class 12 and Frau Dr. Schultze shall also be used for a meeting in Cernosice our partner school near Praha. The goal is to have some video results to show there.
Another project is a new school t-shirt to be developed. We are in search for the colour and logo on each site of the shirt. The logo should be connected to this project. The best proposal will get a nice prize. It should be done till new year.

Hello Everyone in the Comenius World
My name is Buket Aksu and I am a Comenius Assistant from Turkey. I will be doing my assistantship till christmas at the school Berufliche Schule des Landkreises Ostvorpommern in Wolgast, in Germany. With the help of my mentor Mr. Dethloff and the school management, I had a good start into my assistantship. Now I am in the end of second week, here the time goes by so fast.
And I got to know the comenius project "Youth Video Museums" which sounds really interesting. In the time of my assistantship, it would give me great pleasure to support the comenius project as well. I am looking forward to seeing further progress for this project.
I wish you all the best at starting up the project "Youth Video Museums".
Sincerely,
Buket

Comenius project approved
We have the project started in september 2011. Five schools have the approval. They come from Czech Rep., France, Italy, Greece and Germany. Here some impression from our beginning:
thanks for your mails,
- we have a comenius assistant in Wolgast till christmas; I only give her some insight into our work; I gave no official mailing list; you don´t have to write to her
- with the blogs we will not do it too complicated, everybody can write what she or he likes, most of the content should be directly about the project YVM, and no trash is allowed; we should link the blogs permanently; may be use the same colours
- meeting in Wolgast: around January 29 - February 2 or so ???;
give me your approval and numbers of participants (guess), please
- video conference: no very good experience with e-twinning; I would prefer skype; we should try it, maybe in mid october? (till oct. 14, holiday after that)
have a nice evening

Youth Video Museums
In Adana was a very well organised meeting |
From January 09. to 12. 2011 there was a preparatory visit for the new comenius project Youth Video Museums in Adana/Turkey. It was a meeting of several teachers from 6 countries to prepare the application form for a new EU grant. The application is now in work. If successful there will be a remarkable grant and the permission to work on with the project for two years beginning in september 2011.
In Adana, discussion in school |
From Wolgast there took part Mr. Uwe Hein and Mr. Frank Dethloff. The other partners came from France, Italy, Czech Republik and Estonia.
Adana is a modern and vibrant city with 1.5 Million people. The participating teachers where impressed by the cultural life and the modern attitude of the people there. Pupils and teachers were very communicative and wanted to know nearly eberything.
